Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of CompareItFirst.com (the “Site”), which is operated by Jules Media LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What CompareItFirst does

CompareItFirst is a free price-comparison service. We show product information and prices from online retailers so you can compare offers before you buy. We do not sell products. When you choose an offer, you leave our Site and go to the retailer’s website, where you make any purchase directly with that retailer.

2. Purchases are between you and the retailer

We are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer. The retailer is responsible for its products, prices, taxes, shipping, delivery, returns, refunds, warranties, customer service and product safety, and its own terms and privacy policy apply to your purchase. Please contact the retailer directly about any order. We cannot access, change or cancel orders.

3. Prices and product information

Prices and availability come from retailers and affiliate networks through authorized data feeds, programming interfaces and manual entry. We show when each price was last checked. Prices, availability, shipping costs and product details change often and may have changed since we last checked. The price and terms shown on the retailer’s website at the time of purchase apply.

We work to keep information accurate, but we do not guarantee that any price, description, image, specification or availability shown on the Site is accurate, complete or current. We do not compare every retailer or every offer, so a lower price may be available elsewhere. Unless stated otherwise, prices are in US dollars and are for US offers. Offers are ranked by item price only; shipping, taxes and other charges are not included in the ranking, so check the retailer’s checkout for the final total. Where we show a price gap (for example, “$20 less than the highest current price”), it is the difference between the highest and lowest current prices we list for that product. It is not a guarantee of savings, and it is not a claim about any retailer’s regular or former price. We do not show price history.

Some product content comes from retailers. For example, certain content that appears on this Site comes from Amazon; that content is provided “as is” and is subject to change or removal at any time.

4. Affiliate links

Many links on the Site are affiliate links (also called paid links). If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission from the retailer or affiliate network, at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details. Retailer names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners, and their appearance on the Site does not mean that a retailer sponsors or endorses CompareItFirst.

5. Sponsored placements

Brands may pay us to feature their products on the Site. Any paid placement is labeled “Sponsored” or “Advertisement” where it appears. Sponsorship can affect which products we feature, but it never changes the prices retailers charge, the order of offers in our price comparisons, or which offer we show as the lowest price. A sponsored placement is not a recommendation or a guarantee about the product or the seller.

6. Using the Site

You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial shopping research. You agree not to:

  • copy, scrape, crawl or harvest content or prices from the Site using automated tools, except search-engine indexing that follows our robots.txt rules;
  • generate fake or automated clicks on store links, or otherwise interfere with affiliate tracking;
  • interfere with the Site’s operation or security, or try to access areas that are not public;
  • use the Site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful; or
  • frame or mirror the Site, or present our content as your own.

We may restrict or block access to the Site if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken.

7. Our content

The Site’s design, text, graphics, logo and compilation of information are owned by Jules Media LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Content supplied by retailers, brands and affiliate networks, including product images and descriptions, belongs to them and is used under their license terms. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use our name, logo or content other than to use the Site as described here.

8. Links to other websites

The Site links to websites that we do not operate or control. We are not responsible for their content, products, services, security or privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

9. No professional advice

Information on the Site is for general shopping research only. It is not financial, legal, safety or other professional advice. Before buying, check the product details, compatibility, safety information and terms on the retailer’s website.

10. Disclaimer

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, AND WE MAKE NO WARRANTY ABOUT ANY PRODUCT OR RETAILER LISTED ON THE SITE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JULES MEDIA LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, CONTRACTORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION ON THE SITE, OR ANY PURCHASE YOU MAKE FROM A RETAILER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS ANY RIGHTS YOU HAVE THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jules Media LLC from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

13. Questions and disputes

If you have a concern about the Site, please email us first at hello@jules.media so we can try to resolve it informally. Questions about an order must be raised with the retailer you bought from.

14. Changes to the Site and these Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time. We may update these Terms; the new version takes effect when we post it with a new effective date. If you keep using the Site after that, you accept the updated Terms.

15. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site.
